The rebel chef is at it again. Anthony Bourdain is
getting set to premiere his new show, The Layover on the Travel Channel.
The Layover
will
follow Bourdain as he visits major cities in North America, Europe and Asia. The new show, which will form a
10-part series, will follow the jet-setting host as he visits everything from “dive bars to five stars,” all
in the time span of just 24 to 48 hours. Stops include in his hometown of New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, and
even Montreal (possibly to make a stop of Martin Picard’s Au Pied de
Cochon).
Bourdain, who is already
the host of the network’s Emmy award-winning series No
Reservations, and on the cover of
Lifestyler’s most recent issue, will once again be tempting audiences to follow
him in his action-packed gastronomic adventures around the world.
Unlike
No
Reservations, the show will be a “departure” from his exotic travels around the world to sample some
delicious and diverse food.
"The Layover is a fast, busy and content-filled hour,” says Bourdain. “We go to spots that I
personally think are cool and fun for all budgets. In every case, these are places where I either did go, or
would visit even when the cameras are off. The Layover is a reflection of what I’ve learned over
time. It’s about telling a story that viewers can recreate themselves.”
The Layover premieres
on Nov. 21 on Travel Channel.
