At the Executive House hotel, you can relax for a day, month or year in luxury

By Kate Aenlle | September 7, 2010

Stay at the sophisticated Executive House Hotel, and discover one of Victoria’s best-kept secrets.

This boutique hotel is the icing on the “ultimate vacation experience” cake. It holds stylish and engaging settings for business meetings, complimentary wireless Internet access, luxurious executive suites and fitness facilities, so you never have to miss an invigorating workout. And that’s just for starters.

With almost 200 suites and guest rooms — ranging from two-bedroom and double-bed to those with queen-sized or king-sized beds — you are sure to find accommodations that will fit any and all of your needs. As Pauline Jackson, director of public relations and sales at Executive House puts it, “staying here is like having your own, personal wait-staff at your fingertips.”

Corporate clients, vacationing fami-lies and snowbirds alike can relax at Executive House. “Our ‘extended stay’ clients are usually here for one to three months,” says Jackson. Their extended-stay suites are fully furnished and have up to two bedrooms. Furnishings like cribs for clients with very young children are also provided if necessary. “That’s just the kind of service we have here,” says Jackson. “We know that things like that are very important to our clients, so we deliver what they need.”

Executive House is like its own pictur-esque village with what Jackson calls “that old-English charm synonymous with Victoria.” Breathtaking views of the Inner Harbour, along with most tourist attractions and shopping, are easily accessible. “‘Location, location, location’ could not be true enough for us here,” says Jackson. “You don’t even need a vehicle to roam around and enjoy the surrounding area of the hotel.”

Some of the recent upgrades to the hotel may make you not want to leave at all. A fine-dining restaurant, family restaurant and English-style pub are all part of this already magnificent space. Meanwhile, the new Urban Oasis Spa offers all the major spa treatments such as manicures, pedicures, facials and body treatments. More excitingly, the hotel is proud to have Dr. Anthony Rea in the spa to perform facial rejuvenation treatments such as Botox and fillers, making Executive House Hotel the only hotel spa in Victoria that offers these services. Refresh, Renew and Rejuvenate will be the 3 Rs of your stay here!

Charming cafés, bistros and other local businesses are a lot easier to find while on a relaxing stroll. Just down the street you will find Captain Harold and BC Whale Tours, one of Victoria’s most popular tourist excursions. From mid-May to mid-September, the local waters off Victoria are home to approximately 200 killer whales as well as humpback and grey whales that also make it into the area.

Aside from being incredibly accom-modating to the environment, as well as to their clients, Executive House Hotel is also pet-friendly with dedicated pet rooms. “Many hotels don’t accommodate pets,” says Jackson. “We understand, however, that people who need to travel for extended periods of time need to worry about these kinds of things, so we take care of it.” Hotel staff will also point you in the right direction if you need anything from dog walkers to animal hospitals for your fine feathered — or furry — friends.

The next time you’re in Victoria, kick back, relax and stay a while.
