Like A Bird

The term ‘snowbird’ may take on quite a literal meaning with this one. Seymourpowell, a U.K. design company, has released details of a new travel concept that can basically be summed up as a hotel in the sky. Straight out of a futuristic, sci-fi movie, the Aircruise could be your next ticket to jet-setting around the world. The Aircruise is a giant, vertical airship powered by natural energy – it’s meant to be... MORE

A Familiar Place

Have you ever travelled and visited a place that looked very familiar but you know this is your first time being there? Your head tilts to the side, lines form on your forehead as your eyebrows scrunch together and eyes squint in confusion. You recognize certain buildings, statues and streets but don’t understand how you know them, and it takes a few minutes for the reason to sink in. It’s definitely not déjà vu. According to a study conducted by Siemens... MORE

Into the Sonoran Sunset

As I’m blasted by yet another gust of frigid air, I can’t help but think longingly of my Christmas vacation: the warm sun, the sand… the cacti? This winter I gave up the beach in favour of a trip to the Arizona desert, and as a recent Florida-convert, I encourage you to try the same. Scottsdale, Arizona offers the best designer shopping, art galleries, dining and luxury accommodation in the Valley of the Sun. Interspersed among the breathtaking scenery, perfectly maintained golf courses beckon and trails up the mountains hint at hikes for the more adventurous. As a professional’s playground, Scottsdale caters to every vacationer. The golfers, the naturalists, the spa-goers and the shoppers are all provided for. ... MORE
