The name Nelson Mandela is
arguably recognized worldwide by almost everyone. Over the years, the term AIDS has become attached to
Mandela’s name because of his campaign for awareness about HIV/AIDS. In order to assist with these efforts,
the Bespoke 46664 Bangle was created to make “hope”
another word synonymous with the fight against AIDS.
The bangle is a representation of many things. It’s style, substance and heart all wrapped in a piece of
jewelry around your wrist. Another thing that makes each bangle so special is in its production. Each bangle
creates a job for citizens of South Africa — most of whom are roadside vendors with crafting skills. These
jobs take them off the streets and giving them access to healthcare and education. By giving them this
opportunity, they are able to generate a sustainable weekly income.
Although it was launched two years ago, this campaign has been brought to the media forefront again, thanks
to the Oscars. Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman
and Lori McCreary, producer of the movie Invictus, were spotted wearing their custom-made,
ultra-glamourous 46664 bangles, which were designed by Sabine Roemer. Since then, style bloggers and
philanthropists alike have been buzzing about them.
You may or may not want Roemer to create a one-of-a-kind bangle for you — but just in case you don’t, the
good ol’ regular ones are available in copper, silver, 18-karat and 24-karat gold, as well as platinum.
They’re available online, with prices ranging from $25 to
almost $13,000.
"The 'Invictus' Bespoke 46664 Bangle is a reminder that one person can indeed make a significant impact on
the world," Freeman said in a previous interview. Freeman, who has played the role of Mandela himself, wears
his very own platinum 46664 bangle decorated with black diamonds and emeralds.
