The contenders have been announced for
this year’s Canadian Country Music Awards.
Scottish-Canadian singer Johnny Reid leads with six nominations including Album of the Year and Fans’ Choice
Award. B.C. singer Dean Brody is also nominated for several of the prestigious awards.
Calgary’s Paul Brandt, who is recognized as Canada’s most awarded country artist, is also nominated for
several awards and will be performing at the event.
Other nominees include Gord Bamford, George Canyon, Deric Ruttan, Terri Clark and Tara Oram.
The 2011 Canadian Country Music Awards broadcast live on CBC on September 12 at 8pm.
