The Slimy Ingredient

May 27, 2010

Forget about snails ridding your garden of dying plants and vegetables. And who even eats escargot anymore?

These benefits of snails are a thing of the past. When you think of snails nowadays, contemplate the notion of them helping to get rid of the imperfections on your body.

The question is: Who would even come up with something like that? Well, apparently someone has and it’s slowly becoming the next big thing in the beauty world. It may not sound appealing — at all, but to many people inflicted with damaged skin and scars, the results are very tempting.

A 30 ml bottle of Snail Extract Serum claims to remove new and old stretch marks, reduce wrinkles, acne scars and scarring by renewing skin through exfoliation and elimination of dead cells.

The serum is deemed “a powerful natural skin regenerator… which helps to heal damaged skin, tissue and scars.” It helps nourish and protect the skin, leaving it silky, soft and soothed.

The ingredients include: Snail Extract, Methocel J75, Carbopol 940, Triethanolamine, Silicon 344, Germaben II, Glycerin and Deionised water.

Who knew snail slime is the magic ingredient for healthier, younger skin?
